not 7

so i read the article and wondered what the numbers were for 2023.  took me some time.

"On Thursday, it disclosed that the 2023 loss had amounted to $2.75 billion."

-and-

"Earnings increased 11.6 percent to $872 million in the fourth quarter and 24.7 percent to $3.3 billion for the full year."

then that's $6 billion plus spent in one year?  each of 31 million retained subscribers cost almost $200.  their platform only earned the company a little over $100 for each.  so, basically they could have just paid 31 million people $80 or so and skipped the whole being on the internet part of it.

"Once the hottest spot in Lake Tahoe, the El Royale is now a crumbling dump where a room costs $8 a night, but customers often rent by the hour."
